Become the person your company turns to on sustainable insurance
A professional certification built around your insurance function, from underwriting and claims to actuarial, product, investments and risk. Six core modules, a specialist pathway, a capstone initiative for your own company, and an assessed designation.
Sustainable Insurance Professional Certification
For professionals in or with insurance: carriers, reinsurers, brokers and MGAs. You already know insurance; your sustainability knowledge can be anywhere from “reads the headlines” to “drafts the disclosures”. The core modules bring everyone to the same starting line, and the pathways stretch everyone.
- Every renewal now carries ESG questions, and every committee paper has a climate annex.
- Supervisors ask what changed in your decisions, not in your brochure.
- Most sustainability training teaches the same generic content to an underwriter, a claims director and a CFO. SIPC is built around the job you actually do.

Final exam and designation
Six core modules, for everyone
Every module opens with a real workplace problem, applies the content to your own institution, and ends with an action you can take the following week, with the template to do it.
C1Foundations: why sustainability is an insurance issue
By the end of this module you can:
- Explain the double role of insurance: risk carrier and investor
- Describe the protection gap and its strategic implications
- Map three ways sustainability already affects your company’s P&L

By the end of this module you can:
- Classify any development as physical, transition or liability risk
- Trace transmission into underwriting, reserving, investments and capital
- Read NGFS scenario families in your firm’s ORSA or stress tests

By the end of this module you can:
- Place ISSB, TNFD, CSRD/ESRS, SFDR and the EU Taxonomy in four regulatory layers
- Compare double materiality with investor materiality

C4The sustainable insurance value chain
By the end of this module you can:
- Identify the sustainability levers at each stage of the value chain
- See how levers interact across functions
- Evaluate a real insurer’s programme and spot its gaps
C5Beyond climate: nature, biodiversity and social
By the end of this module you can:
- Apply TNFD dependency and impact language to insurance
- Use the LEAP approach on an insurance portfolio
- Address inclusive insurance and fair treatment of customers
C6Making it happen: strategy, governance and change
By the end of this module you can:

- Build a business case on risk, revenue, cost and licence to operate
- Anticipate and counter the six standard objections
Then go deep in your own function
Choose one pathway of three modules, built on the decisions, tools and cases from your desk.
